11.1 Enrolment of girls of school levels upto class X
The importance of the education of girls has been accepted globally. For the full development of our human resources, the improvement of our homes and for molding the character of children during their formative years, the education of women is even more important than of men. In the modern world, women are equal partners of men in all spheres of life sharing equally with man the responsibility of the development of all aspects of society.
The enrolment figures below clearly suggest that the education of girls has never been neglected. On the contrary, the higher percentage of girls at the senior school levels suggest fewer drop outs among girls. These figures are based on the survey of 55 schools - mostly CTSA and DOE direct run schools.
