The little school at Manali, started by the Parents themselves, has been managed by the Council since 1978. Assistance to these schools initially for a short period came from the Tibetan Development Foundation, Holland, but now except for the salary of one teacher from the Central Tibetan Schools Administration, the Department of Education, CTA bears all the other expenses.
