Contributions to the Department of Education are processed through the Tibetan Children's Educational & Welfare Fund, a registered (non-profit) society under the Societies Registration Act,XXI of 1860. This society was created for the purpose of facilitating tax deductible contributions to a wide variety of projects related to the advancement of education within the Tibetan communities in exile in India, Nepal and Bhutan.
